ceiling panel

I have 350 number 382 and the cabin ceiling over the ice box has a panel held on with six screws. Curiosity finally got me to open it and found nothing, no access, just blank ceiling under the panel. Does anyone know what could have been the purpose of this? It is under the winch and snubbers.

Pretty certain it is for access to an electric winch.
