Winterizing/Lay-Up

Looking for information on winterizing/lay-up on my 2005 C-350. Have some general knowledge re engine but not familiar with any of the systems on the 350, especially fresh water, hot water tank, etc. Have reviewed the some of the manuals but wanted get sime hands on best practice procedures. Have already changed oil and transmission fluid for lay-up.

My plan was to have the dealer do it the first time while observing, but he is apparently too busy.

Couple specific questions i have:
The Universal Owners Manual recommends removing the the raw water impeller and not replacing until recommissioning. Is that a good practice/necessary?
The Manual also discusses changing fuel filters at Lay-up. Is that advisable/necessary if not required by hours?
Finally, it recommends opening up propeller shaft/tranmission couplings during lay-up. Does anybody do that?

There were some excellent hints and tips on winterizationn on our previous site. I am in the process of moving those files to our new hosting service. I will give the winterization section priority. I'll try to get them up before the weekend.
