New halyard suppliers?

Post by J Kleber »

Looking for recommendations and recent experiences fron anyone who has replaced their running rigging-halyards. Quick delivery is important as I'd like to change out before launching while the spar is off the boat. US based source only.

I’ve replaced several pieces of running rigging from https://www.ebay.com/str/castobargains. They buy up excess inventory from brand name cordage suppliers. They can make eye splices if requested. They also have a brick & mortar store. Call and ask for Wade if you have questions. https://castotrade.com/

Or...you can do it the easy way and just buy bulk line in the correct diameter from any chandler. Figure 8 knot at the free end, bowline onto the shackle for attaching to sail and cut to same length as the old line.
