Previous posts cover this topic pretty well.
Snatch block or block (cheaper) on a long soft shackle from the stern cleat works well. With good sheeting angle to the clew.
Furling is tight at the top and somewhat loose on the clew so leaving up all the time might result in flapping. Your results may vary.
I installed a selden pole to extend the gap before the forestay. It works well and keeps the chute on centerline. It required drilling the bow roller which wasn’t easy. It also interferes with the anchor deployment but stows quickly to the stanchion storage. I run a line from the furling drum shackle aft and tie it to the pulpit to release easily and quickly if needed.

Could you be so kind as to elaborate on the bow ring attachment? Maybe a few more photos of the attachment and of how you stow the sprit to enable anchor deployment? Thank you.

A friend gave me 3-4 feet (leftover) of the seldon bow sprit pole. It fits (perfectly)nicely into the bow roller on the starboard side. I lowered the Ss loop to hold it down. About an inch. I installed one bolt with a wingnut on the inboard end, it is near the end of the pole maybe 2 inches in. . Easy to get at. I installed a bolt in the outboard end of the pole that has an eye in it for the tack line. The tack line is lead to a bow cleat. This bolt goes all the way through the pole and has nuts on the inside and out.
To use it I slide it in place from the front , install the wingnut, run the tack line and hoist. The anchor keeper loop holds it down.
The Fortress anchor it used to keep on this roller now resides down in the anchor locker if I need it.
Bill on Triumph.

Ps. I used the lid off a jar of gelato on the end of the pole to close it off and make it look nice.
