I haven't seen a post on the use of a Honda 20001 since 2009. I have a friend with a 10 yr old 2000i and it doesn't have a 30 amp plug on it, but the newest version of that generator has two plugs and one of them is a 30 amp receptacle. I'm hoping to just plug in a new 2000i in my A/C receptacle without any electrical mods and just get cool. Any updates out there?? an life be that simple?

I've had the 2000i with the 30 amp plug for about a year and love it. I don't have A/C, I just plug straight into the boats shore power plug (no adapter needed) and power the whole boat. It's enough to heat the water, charge the batteries, run the microwave, and/or watch TV. It's been great!
