Chair tips for stern ladder

Has anyone come across chair tips or similar to use on the stern ladder stand-offs that actually last a season? Mine dry out and crack (maybe UV deterioration) in 2-3 months! Don't really know which topic heading fits this one best . . .

I have found replacement rubber guards at most hardware stores.

Maybe wrapping them in White rescue tape would make them last longer.
But considering they are about $2 for a four pack, I'll just change them out when they get bad.

I had 2 SS 3" X 1/4" disks made/cut and attached them to the hull with 5200. Don't really care to much about the rubber caps any more.
