Fuel Lift Pump Help Needed

Good afternoon, all,

While motoring today my 350 sputtered and finally stopped. I am "hoping" it is just the lift pump.
Can anyone tell me if: when the key is turned on should the fuel pump be hissing or humming?
Mine is doing nothing. When I remove the fuel line to the injectors from the lift pump and crank the engine I have no fuel pumping
into the lines or out of the lift pump. Is there a fuze? What am I missing.

If it is the lift pump, where is the best source for a new one?

Thanks very much

The lift pump is wired into a circuit with the oil pressure switch and the ignition switch in the 3rd -glow plug- spring back position. It's designed to pressurize the fuel on starting and then act as a safety when running. Confirm you have the alarm buzzer and oil pressure light with the ignition on. And also if it's running in the preheat position, or check wiring. You can find the lift pump at your auto parts store, Amazon, or marine supply.

Thanks very much. Can you tell me if the pump is supposed to make any kind of noise with the key on, like it's trying to pump? And yes, my alarm buzzer is attached and working. I also noted that the fuel filter and water separator was empty when the boat stopped running. Is that part of the lift pump mechanism? I have also ordered a Westerbeke Breaker Circuit pn: 024683 in hopes that it might have tripped or fried.

Whatever additional help you can offer is greatly appreciated.
