The standby and -1 buttons of my AP have pretty much died.
I've opened it up and sprayed contact cleaner, which helps for a brief period, but running below to turn off the AP when I need to take control of the wheel when sailing solo is not my idea of a great time.
Any one had to replace theirs, and will a 6000,6002, or 7000 work?
Thanks.

Re: st5000+ control head problems
My understanding is that they no longer repair these units.
You will need to buy a new controller and an x-10 module.
I am having an issue where auto tack works on occasion.
Obviously you will need to double check that info.
Currently I can live without auto tack, but I am sure other issues will follow.
