Adding Splash Guard

Post by Triumph »

I have a Mark I and wanted to add the splash guard that is on the Mark II to my galley area. I purchased this from Catalina, but your local deal can supply it too. The problem with this is that where the holes need to go for the two support posts, is right at the outer edge of the veneered side of the countertop. In other words, you drilled holes are not inside the cabinet, they are outside, and within 1 mm of the vertical surface. This makes it impossible to get the head of the bolt in place. I had to change to a bolt head that uses an allen wrench to get a bolt that can fit this close to the vertical surface. It worked, but your counter top may be slightly different than mine, and that might make it impossible to do. It works for me, but it wasn't easy to install.

This is a well needed solution. I cannot get the photo's to open. How might I be able to get to see it?

Thanks
