Balmar ARS regulator placement

Just received the Balmar alternator and Regulator I had ordered and had a question about placement of the regulator. Any input or photographs aboubt the placement would be appreciated.

Balmar regulator location

I installed the regulator outside of the engine compartment. It is in the aft cabin, on the bulkhead above the lift out cover for the engine access. I cut a small slot in the cover and the ledge it sits on to route the wiring loom. I added a bit of spongy insulation in the slot to reduce the potential for air exchange (engine smells) in the aft cabin.
Works great there. You can observe the program and action of the regulator. Fred's Catalina 36 article was a great help. I'll try to remember and take pix next time I am the boat.
