Catalina 350 International Association

At the top of my mast is a circular antenna. It looks like a basketball hoop. I believe it is a TV antenna, but I am not sure. I am going to remove it because the birds (Osprey) love it as a perch and make a mess of the boat, particularly the cockpit. I have to spend an hour cleaning before I can go for a sail. Does anyone know for sure what this circular antenna is?

Based on your description I believe you have a Hinckley TV antenna. I have the same one on my boat. It's probably as close as I'll ever come to owning anything nautical with a Hinckley name on it. I also have the same issue with it being a dining table for some type of raptor.

Thank you for your reply. Very much appreciated. This antenna has to go. Every time I go to the boat it is like a homicide happened on the deck.
