Starboard stanchion replacement

Post by rkamper »

I need to replace the starboard gate stanchion that was bent and broken at the weld. I replaced the port stanchion before so am familiar with the process, but the starboard side has more "stuff" like cabinets, A/C duct. etc. Would appreciate any advice and guidance. Has anyone done this that I could talk to about it.
After removing the microwave how do you get at the A/C duct? Must you remove the cabinets? It looks like the top shelf of the cabinets needs to come off, how? Must you pull the A/C duct out or can it just be pulled down? Must you cut out some of the fiberglass liner like I needed to do on the port side.

I have a MKII 350. Is there any difference between the MKII and standard 350 as to accessibility to the stanchion nuts.
Thanks
