Patch in bilge

Hi all,

I have a plastic patch in the botttom of the bilge. It is thin piece of plastic. It was sitting under a bilge bump. It is thin so not a backing plate to screw in the pump. I have not pulled it up. See picture attached. Is this something original? Anyone have this?

I am trying to solve a leak. I don’t think this has anything to do with the leak but there is a little bit of water underneath once I get a little water in the bilge. Just want to figure out what this is or what is was there for.

Any info is appreciated.
