Newbie Fort Lauderdale Lockdown

Post by Fiftybucks »

We scheduled trip back out to Fort Lauderdale. Jetblue cancelled flights.. understandably. The city has lockdown with possible fines of $500 for non-essential travel.. marinas are closed, as is Las Olas, as is Fort Pierce City Marina. Officials tell us that even dinghys are not welcome for the time being. There is good news that cases have peaked and decreasing. We contacted eMarine and purchased 2 Lifeline 4Ds and they have been installed by Fine Line Marine Electrical. They were very accommodating and were happy to have the work. They were listed as an essential service, and had some emergency calls prior to ours. Looking at Windy.com, the weather would have been outstanding to just go up the outside. We are safe here in remote Idaho, and worry about our new friends in several areas of Florida. Hope this is over soon and we can head out on the final leg in 2 months... but we will wait to make firm plans. Thx to all.
