Sheets and quilts

Post by Interlude35 »

We recently purchased a 350 and wondering if queen size sheets could work and also a queen size quilt if it is tucked in, for both cabins? If not, any suggestions?

For the front cabin we use flat queen sheets. Easier to make if you pull the mattress aft, tuck in then push back into position. I notice there are some web sites that specialise in supplying fitted sheets that might work for the front mattress. I don't know price.
We use queen sheets for the aft cabin as well. A pain to make given the low head height.

I had used queen sheets for the forward cabin and king sheets for the at ( the aft cabin bed is really a challenge to make!) Last year I purchased queen sized sheets that are made from a jersey like material with some stretch to them and they work great in both cabins! The bonus is they are easier to use than regular sheets in the aft cabin. As for the quilt, there is not a lot of space to tuck in, especially in the aft cabin. Enjoy your boat! It's a great cruiser. We took ours south to Florida from the Chesapeake last fall and will be going back in a couple weeks to bring it home!

Our "bed spreads" or bed covers are single or twin bed quilts or bed covers. They fit pretty well on both beds. We use queen up front with a custom sown "cut to fit" fitted sheet for the bottom sheet, std queen flat sheet for the top sheet, and std King sheets for the aft cabin.

Hi,

The bed sheet size is 9 Inch Depth & V Berth and the perfect size for bed sheet is ) Fitted Sheet 88”H 82”L 20”F, (1) Flat Sheet 102”H 110”L 40”F
V berth and they don't even come close to fitting in standard Queen size bed sheet. There an elastic in the fitted sheet when there's a draw string to tighten. If you tuck them the wrinkle will be more prominent. Custom made bed sheets is good choice for both the cabins as it is available in Australia for $70 in Online Queen bed sheets.
As for Quilt cover the double size can easily work on frwd and V berth cabins.
