Looking for rubrail

Hi folks,
I’m looking for some help with sourcing rub rail parts. We are back on the boat in SW Florida and had some damage to about 4’ of the rubrail channel on the port side. Got my hands on a piece of the rail from Catalina Direct, however it does not fit the rubber insert. Catalina parts says they are only stocking for new boats. I’ll call them anyway but not too hopeful. Anyone have success from another supplier? It’s a 2003 model and CD says there was an issue with the rubrail that year. Thanks for any info.

I have some left over from replacing the rubber insert a couple of years ago. 2007 model. We will be in Ft. Myers on the 15th. Send me a PM and pictures/dimensions if you have them and we can discuss delivery.

Thanks Brett, I did contact them but unfortunately they didn’t have parts to fit. It actually worked out though; see below.

Gary, appreciate the offer, I was actually looking for the aluminum channel. The rubber insert survived mostly unscathed.

After a couple of days of fruitless searching online and along the gulf coast I realized I had nothing to lose by beating a little harder on the insert. I’m still convinced the profile of the new aluminum rail is slightly different than the original rail, but I heavily lubed the edges of the rubber insert and commenced to wail with a wooden block and hammer. Not the preferred technique but successful nonetheless. Again, I had nothing to lose. I managed to get the insert seated with no damage, and It actually looks pretty good.
