Damper Plate Replacement Notes / Procedure

Post by ElizabethG »

Hi Gang,

There have been several posts on the damper plate replacement over the years.

Jerry Ross put this out back in 2012; http://www.catalina350.com/phpBB3/viewt ... f=11&t=685

Does anyone have additional notes, instructions, procedures, hacks they can share?

I may attempt to do the replacement, or have a good set of notes to hand to a mechanic if I go that route.

Also, there were several recommendations on which plate to order ranging from a few hundred dollars to $1.5K. Any recommendations from those that have done the replacement?

Thanks,

Bill

No notes, but the R&D high deflection damper sold by PYI worked well for us. Have about 800 hours on the new one since I put it in.
