Engine wiring harness to instrument panel

While trouble shooting engine temp gauge failure, I found terminal block in pedestal connecting (23) wires between engine harness and instrument panel. Some water apparently got in behind instrument panel and half of the terminal block screws were rusted.
I replaced terminal block with conventional plated brass terminal blocks and reterminated all wires with crimp on lugs with heat shrink sleeves.
I can’t attach a photo of the old terminal block but if you’re having any weird electrical issues take a look behind your instrument panel.

PS as you can see from the attached photo, some rust staining around wires as well.
