Previous posts cover this topic pretty well.
Snatch block or block (cheaper) on a long soft shackle from the stern cleat works well. With good sheeting angle to the clew.
Furling is tight at the top and somewhat loose on the clew so leaving up all the time might result in flapping. Your results may vary.
I installed a selden pole to extend the gap before the forestay. It works well and keeps the chute on centerline. It required drilling the bow roller which wasn’t easy. It also interferes with the anchor deployment but stows quickly to the stanchion storage. I run a line from the furling drum shackle aft and tie it to the pulpit to release easily and quickly if needed.
