Leaking ceiling

Post by jrohrbaugh »

I have a leak coming in around a plug in the ceiling. Fortunately it's right over the sink. When I removed the plug i could not determine the origin. I did see a bolt, with no nut, that appears to be part of the traveler securement to the deck.
I am in the Bahamas still so this tropical storm is testing all the seals.
Anyone else have this issue.? Also should there be a nut on the thru-deck bolt?
Thanks in advance.

Water leaks can be very misleading-- water can sometimes run a long way from where it penetrates the deck to where it is seen dripping from the liner.

Best to remove any plugs you can from the liner and use a flash light to see if you can locate the source of the leak. Most can be fixed by rebedding the offending fastener with a good polysulfide.
