Chain Plate Crack

Post by Lagniappe »

I was polishing my stainless steel last weekend and I think I discovered 2 mid starboard chain plate cracks. It looks like the cracks propagated where the welding started and stopped.

It is possible for Stainless to crack if not welded properly. If you know a good welder that can TIG weld. Take it to them, they can grind it and re-weld.
