Just a quick up grade for everyone: We always use our port propane locker for beer and soft drinks during the summer, a bag of ice sitting on top of the beverages will usually last just for that day. We found some 1/4" thick bubble wrap insulation that HVAC installers use to wrap their ducts with. We wrapped our locker from under the deck with 2 layers of the insulation, including the bottom, with the same foil stick tape the HVAC guys use.
Now...ice will last for 2 whole days.
Enjoy!

Re: Propane ice locker
That is a "cool" idea. We have our 2nd propane tank in there, but in the 10 years of ownership, I have never used it. Your idea would certainly be more useful to us weekend sailors.

Re: Propane ice locker
A cool AND NECESSARY addition.
Without additional insulation, the outside would sweat (ya, assuming you are in an area where the dew point is above 32 degrees F), adding a lot of moisture in the liner of the aft cabin.
