Just had an outstanding sail in late afternoon early evening from Nanaimo , Vancouver Island. Nice chop and a very warm NW breeze that ranged from 12 to 24 knots.
With full sail up above about 17 I find the 350 a bit heavy on steering and when trimmed to about 1/3 on the Genoa we just flew along at about 6.4 average and a few 6.8's. Straight out on port tack to Snake Island and one auto tack to come back in. Hardly touched the sail trim and nearly dozed off in the catbird seat. It doesn't get much better.
The Admiral was there to help me dock and enjoy a cool Corona.
Retiring in March so I'm just practising.
Should get another 6 weeks of nice weather.
