Engine Alarm, intermittet buzzing

Engine Alarm, intermittent buzzing

Has anyone experienced the engine alarm buzzing or chirping intermittently after the engine is warm. The temperature and oil pressure seem to be fine, and so far a mechanic has not been able to find the problem.

Yes I noticed something like that on a longer engine run last year. If I set the RPM too high, I would get the odd low volume chirp or buzz. Not a solid loud alarm, but an audible sound. I lowered the RPM and it did not make a sound.

Thanks.

On mine, the chirping has happened when the rpms have been between 2500-2800. Changing the speed doesn't stop the chriping.

What were your RPMs?

If I remember correctly around the same range 2800 RPM. But as soon as I lowered it a bit, noise would stop.
