2006 Posting re cross referenced part numbers

Ken,
As u know I have moved my boat from St Simons, GA to Annapolis. As we were running outside had water pump problems and had to duck in at Charleston to address that issue. Since the alternator belt did not look that good decided to change it out also. I had a spare, Gates 7140, that I had purchased as a back-up from the 2006 posting. Unfortunately it is not a correct cross reference, too big.
Just wanted to publicize that in case others had purchased the belt.

Have to post my own reply. The Gates belt is a 7410 that I purchased not a 7140.

My notes show that the correct Gates equivalent is 7395.
