fuel filters

Post by nybor »

I recently changed the fuel filters in my m35b engine. I also ordered a "kit" that contains oil filters, fuel, impeller, etc. However, it also came with a small wire cylinder "filter" (kinda like in raw water filters - only much smaller). The question is WHAT THE ^&*%^&$^#^%$% is it and more importantly WHERE THE !@#$%^**$#@#$%^& does it go????
I have a 2005 C-350 by the way.
thanks in advance

My guess is that it is a filter for the fuel lift pump...........which is not consistent on all 350's. My 2003, hull #3 does NOT have the filter in my fuel lift pump (but the literature describes it. I found out when I was having fuel lift problems and tried to clean the non-existing filter, and then replaced the fuel lift pump to solve my problem. Dan

ps. Does ANYONE want to buy an unused titanium/gold/platinum fuel lift filter screen? It is only $490. Please send the funds (cash only) to my banker in Nigeria.
thanks
