Personally I wouldn't put a bronze one in. I am not aware of Marelon failures, but know plenty of sailors who were pulling their boats between scheduled lift outs because they found corroded bronze valves that wouldn't let them sleep at night.

This is going back a bit, but wondered how you closed off the coolant bleed at the engine block radiator cap? As I read your article you only have the one bleed point from the coolant circuit and that is aft above the hot water heater?
