Elevated moisture readings during survey
Hello all and Happy Holidays. I am hoping to get a little advice pertaining to a pre-purchase survey I just had on a 350 that is generally in fantastic shape. The surveyor found elevated moisture readings around the base of the mast (port 46%, STBD 50%) and between the aft most chain plate and the G...

WooHoo! Just saw my first 350 in person
Hello all, Yesterday was the day I finally got to compare the 36 and the 350 in person and the winner was clearly the 350 for us. She confirmed all our hopes and beliefs about the model. The 350 is definitely the right boat for us. We absolutely loved the layout and space. Every time we sat down, ei...

Re: Conversion from furling mast to traditional?
I'm also hoping that means I will be able to stand upright under the bimini too. I've sailed a 310 and canvas was about a inch and a half too low for me to stand. With no autopilot my neck was pretty sore after a full day's sail.

Re: Questions about shipping a 350 over the road
Thanks Bill, I expect you are right on the cost being prohibitive but I also didn't want to just assume it was. Figure its worth a few phone calls to find out for sure. Great idea on recruiting a crew when the time comes, much better than hiring a Captain out of the blue.

Re: Conversion from furling mast to traditional?
Thanks for the reply. Very helpful perspective. I have sailed a 310 with in mast furling and wasn't really a fan either. All my other sailing has been with traditional mains and I've never minded putting them up and down. So until I do I figure there is not reason to change. As for my racing, its no...

Questions about shipping a 350 over the road
Hey all, I am beginning my search to find a 350. I want to get one with a tradition main and not the in mast furling one but they are few and far between. Warren at Catalina is helping me figure out the logistics and cost of conversion. I would like to compare that to the cost and complexity of find...

Conversion from furling mast to traditional?
Hello all, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with converting from the in mast furling system to a traditional mast and mainsail. I am in the market for a 350 but I definitely want a traditional mainsail for performance/racing. Obviously there are way more furling boats available on the us...
