A/C with a Honda 2000i

I haven't seen a post on the use of a Honda 20001 since 2009. I have a friend with a 10 yr old 2000i and it doesn't have a 30 amp plug on it, but the newest version of that generator has two plugs and one of them is a 30 amp receptacle. I'm hoping to just plug in a new 2000i in my A/C receptacle wit...

Re: Refrig/freezer thermostat issues

Did you ever figure out the problem? Both of my shafts seem to be "frozen." My refrig knob is now broken (split) and I'm going to try to order new knobs, but would like to know how to get the knob shafts to move easily. This is the first time my 2005 shafts have frozen up.

Cockpit Folding Table Strut

A guest broke one of the struts that hold up the cockpit folding table leaves of my 2005 350. I can't find a replacement part in West Marine's catalog or any other catalog that I can think of. Has anyone replaced one of the struts, or know who the manufacturer is/was? I thought it was Harken but no ...

Re: water tank shut off valves

This is probably too late, based on the other post dates, but my grey shut-off valve has "QEST" on the top (NOT "QUEST"). I haven't found a replacement yet but am still looking. I stripped the threads on my forward tank valve. If anyone has found where I can purchase a replacemen...

Re: Catalina Hull Blistering Warranty

Dave, I paid about 20% of the actual repair. Supposedly my dealer paid some also. In my opinon, the dealer didn't pay as much of the total cost as I was led to believe he would pay. Catalina paid about $8000 for the repairs. Catalina's warranty states that you must deliver the boat to the dealer's c...

Re: Catalina Hull Blistering Warranty

I'm reporting the conclusion of my blistering problem. First, Catalina (Frank) will ONLY honor its pro-rated 5 yr waranty, period! They will pay for the correction of the problem, but based on when you bought your boat. I strongly suggest that if you have a 2004/2005/ 0r 2006 year model and haven't ...

Re: PHRF rating

Tim,
Can't say that your rating is right or wrong. I was unsuccessful in getting my rating changed and have decided not to race anymore.

Re: Catalina Hull Blistering Warranty

Ken, I have a pretty significant blistering problem on my 2005 350, which was in brackish water for only 2 years. I requested Catalina, via e-mail at their web site, for a copy of the warranty as mine is on my boat (I'm assuming) which is in drydock at a marina far from here for correction of the bl...

Keeping those pesky birds off your lifelines

Folks at my marina have tried all the latest gadgets to keep the birds off the lifelines and their droppings off the deck. I've tried owls, magnets, etc, but I got a great tip from a dockmate! It is cheap and doesn't make your boat look like a Christmas tree or a zoo. Just tie a length of fishing li...

PHRF rating

My yacht club has given me a PHRF rating of 147. I think that this is way to low! I believe that only the long keel boats have a rating, and that it would be between 137 and 165 or close to that. Are any other fin keel 350s racing, and if so what is your rating? Although I can physically beat a coup...
