ST-60 Depth Problems

On our way out of the marina to a new, unknown anchorage, my wife yelled from the helm, "the depth sounder isn't working!" My first reaction was, she must be on a different function, but sure enough, three dashes was all the meter showed. We changed locations to Gig Harbor (south Puget Sou...

Forgot to say it works just fine with the winch in that location.

Gary -

I mounted it in the same location as the cleat. PERFECT fit hole pattern, but I used shorter screws. If you would like to see a picture, email me at jon@jonfreeman.net.

Re: Rope Clutch for Jib Furler line

I DID use the clutch with the winch this weekend, and it worked fine. I am totally pleased with this addition to the boat. I especially like the lift and go nature of the clutch. Just lift the rope, and she is loose. Pull down, and she locks. So much simpler than the cleat. :) BTW My mounting screws...

Re: Rope Clutch for Jib Furler line

I ordered the Spinlock clutch from Defender ($43.00 with shipping), and installed it over the weekend. Perfect fit! I will be trying it out this weekkend, but expect it to be one of the better changes I could make. Great tip! More to follow.
