Re: Damper Replacement
If your referring to my project all went well and following all the information here worked just fine. Some of the engine rattle noise went away and that was a good thing. Hardest part was getting the transmission coupler off the shaft. I saw a tool on Catalina Direct wonder if anybody has used that...

Re: Genoa Furling Line Specs
Hey Guys,
Need to replace the Main Outhaul line on the Selden In mast furling. I see above in the post someone mentioned 55 feet? Would that be the length for the Selden?
Also, Just stitch and go is the best way to replace?

Ended up reusing the old sheet elbow on the left side 7/8 and new brass sheet elbow a Barb for the 3/4 side.
Will find a replacement when I get the old pump back from being rebuilt.

Re: Oberdorfer N202M-908 Raw Water Pump Installation
Hey guys. I bought the above mentioned kit and the elbows they sent me would fit a 1/2 inch hose not the 7/8 hose to the heat exchanger. I called them (Depco) and they said that was the correct size (1/2) and I must have something modified. Any insight on this. Struggling to find a solution to the f...

Re: Damper Replacement
Leigh, Thanks and yes the 35 and Hurth. I did get it off today. Used a pry bar to get it started but could only get the paint cracked on the port side. Ended up using a 2x2 about a yardstick long placed under the engine from the front (stairs) placed it against the starboard side transmission and ga...

I couldn't be happier with both sets of lights. Color is easy on eyes. I had tried a couple and these were the ones we put through out.

Re: Emergency rudder opening full of water
I know this is an old thread but need a bit of help. In the Bahamas some huge squalls with lots of rain. Getting a bit of water in the Trans shaft area after rain. Appears it might be from the Plastic Emergency Tiller hatch. It has lots of water and I see water dripping down around the screws under ...

spare Alternator
Hi guys,
Headed to the Bahamas and was thinking about carrying a spare Alt.
Has anybody sourced something for a spare. Not sure I'm stepping up and buying the Universal one.

Re: Damper Replacement
Mark - The Strainer is indeed secure. Funny you say that though during the survey it was free floating and broken. Fixed before buying per Survey Brett - the idle speed is set correct somewhere around 900. I was just stating the shaking and sound was prevalent from idle to about 1400. Thanks guys fo...

Re: Damper Replacement
Hi all. WE have just been able to take the new to us boat out a couple of times. Last time out I did notice the engine at idle up to about 1400 or so seemed like it was a bit loud. I read about the damper plate issue and since I don't have one to compare to maybe you could give me some insight. Belo...

Thanks guys,
Will Contact Dennis.
The water tank portion of the Monitor seems spot on. Is there a separate fuse for each tank?

Re: Tank Monitor for Waste Holding Tank
I need to revive the old thread. So first time out on the new to me boat. Off for fuel and pump out. Well there was a lot in the tank. Even the dock hand was impressed. The tank showed empty. Ultra 8 display. Could not find the recalibrate instructions on fourm but did find them in manual. Thoughts ...

Re: 6V Golf Cart Battery Upgrade
So now on the boat looking at the Batteries. 2 4d Replaced in 2016. I'm thinking about adding 2 6V Trojans to the Port Setee as well as a Isolated start.
Anybody have a picture if they put 6V in that setee... Did you use a shelf?
I know I'm a power hog, so need a bit more battery storage.

Re: Where do I point knob - Adler Barbour
Thanks again guys.
All makes sense... I do have a Spillover no Fan.
I did get it to stop running. Counterclockwise right up against the Off stop. Confirmed by Amp Meter. Stayed off about 3 minutes and back on. Looks like it is working. Probably need to think about insulation.

Re: Where do I point knob - Adler Barbour
Thanks for the help. The Coil seems to be attached properly. It is secure at the white plate on at freezer. It just seems to never stop running. I'll try pointing the knob down and see if anything changes. It seems to freeze the bottles right off.. the off stop. Looks like more Diag is needed. Added...

Where do I point knob - Adler Barbour
Hi guys, Just got to boat 2 days now. Turned fridge on just one click. There are not any numbers on the knob so not sure where to point it. I just moved it off the click. It froze water bottles on the spill over side. Can someone tell me where I should be putting the knob or any other hint on this. ...

Re: 6V Golf Cart Battery Upgrade
I know it's an older thread but can anybody comment on how their power usage has been (at anchor...etc) with the 6 volt upgrade. I will be needing to upgrade power requirements on the new to me 350 and wondering if the 4-6 batteries will be enough for an extended cruise. We will be at the new to us ...
