Did you find a replacement ST6001 auto pilot display. I have one for sale. Note that the backlight doesn't work so does not light up at night.

Do you think the alternator is bad then?

Since the starter motor works ok, the ground for the alternator should be ok too? Where does the ground wire attach?

I am at anchor off the SW end of Key Biscayne in Florida.

While motoring the engine voltage output is only about 11.5 volts. I suspect alternator failing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

It is called a foam wrap. Coincidentally I had the same question. I found a generic wrap that replaces Kohler engine part #12-083-12 for under $3.
