Re: Cutter Rigged Roller Furling Working Staysail
Your prompt advice is much appreciated. I've really been on the fence with this. I am just not happy with partially furled Genoa in higher winds. Really poor shape and too far forward. Sounds like a roller furling staysail may be a poor compromise. By the way, I have been looking for a C350 replacem...

Cutter Rigged Roller Furling Working Staysail
I'm contemplating converting to cutter rigged with a roller furling working staysail. Anyone have any advice on details of sail size, shape, installation hardware, installation details, use, etc.? I'm particularly interested in how to lead the sheets into the cockpit; are added sheet winches needed ...

Re: In-Boom Furling
Only about 4-1/2 years late, but I'm in the process of procuring and installing a new LiesureFurl in-boom main system in place of my in-mast furling system. We'll see how it works out this sailing season here in CT! I'm also contemplating cutter rigged with a roller furling working staysail. Anyone ...

Re: Engine Alarm / Buzzer
Just a report on my experience with an (as it turns out, false) engine low oil pressure alarm: After I started the engine normally, the buzzer continued to sound as if the key were on before I cranked the engine. It was difficult to see in sunlight, but the low oil pressure light was lit. Later that...

Re: Jib Tack Shackle & Pin Size?
Well, that's more than a simple shackle & pin. I don't see how I could've lost all that at the same time. I must have had a simpler arrangement.

Jib Tack Shackle & Pin Size?
While sailing a downwind run causing a lot of jib flapping/snapping in heavy wind, the tack shackle just disappeared, letting the jib tack flap in the breeze! Now that it's gone, I don't know the replacement size. Anyone have that info. (it's not in the C350 manual)? I have the 135% roller furling G...

Re: Leaking shower door
Wally & Connie, Susan and I were bothered by a bit of water and general dampness on the head floor, primarily due to shower use. We 'covered over the problem' by installing Kendall Dri-Dek Tiles (8 of them) for a total cost of $37.28 from Defender. These rubber tiles, which lock together, raise ...

Re: garhauer ez glide genoa cars
Bill, Thanks for your technical article in the Feb 2009 Mainsheet. I would like to do this upgrade on my 'Espresso'. Questions: The Garhauer website shows 1" and 1-1/4" sizes and standard or heavy duty models. They also indicate that I need to supply the thickness of the Genoa track top T ...
