Re: catalina 350 shower

When we purchased Serendipity the original shower hose was bad. We took the hose to Lowes, got the adaptor fitting and a new handheld shower for about $15.00.
Good Luck

Re: Genoa Furling Line Specs

Here are the sizes and lengths of line we used. We arrived at this through the Catalina 350 manual the Genoa and Mainsail furling manuals, calling Catalina, talking with another 350 owner on our dock, And taking measurements on the boat (without going up the mast) and when totally unsure, flipping m...

Re: Genoa Furling Line Specs

We just replaced all the running rigging on Serendipity. We used 75 ft. of 7/16 for the furling line. We used the 70 ft. recommendation and I added 5 feet to it just in case. We did a lot of research to come up with the lengths and sizes we needed and still had some lengths longer than needed. Bart,...

Re: Outland Hatch Covers

We added them to Serendipity in April 2015. Have had no issues at all. The installation was easy and they looked good when we finished. We had the Boats name put on the forward hatch so anyone visiting can find our boat when we are pulled into a slip. We periodically remove them for cleaning and the...

Re: Engine Gauge Panel Replacement

Ken,
You will need to contact Martek in Clearwater. I sent the entire panel to them and they made a template so there will be a price difference as it should be easier to make the replacement panel now. I will attempt to post a picture soon.

Engine Gauge Panel Replacement

If you are looking for a replacement panel for your gauges contact Kevin at Martek Davits in Clearwater Fl. We recently bought davits from Martek for Serendipity. We went over to see the shop and pick up the davits. While we were there we saw panels with gauges and it turned out Kevin also makes the...

Re: Second Refrigeration System

Thank you all.
There is definitely much food for thought here. Once we get through with our haul out later this month we will attack the refrigeration among the other projects.

Re: Haul out Advice

Thank you

Any and all advice is appreciated. Looking into if we need to replace the shaft. Going to pick up copper coat and Martek davits this coming week. Will pull Serendipity week of March 16 and get her ready to go. Also ordered a feathering prop.

Re: Second Refrigeration System

Thank you Ken.
How much insulation did you add and was it on the inside of the box, outside or both.

Haul out Advice

Hello all. Have a few questions prior to our hauling Serendipity for maintenance and bottom paint. Anyone have any experience with Copper Coat bottom paint? Opinions on feathering props. Has anyone had any success with replacing the cutlass bearing without dropping the rudder or raising the engine? ...

Second Refrigeration System

Hello All
In discussing our refrigeration concerns with several venders at the recent Miami Show one interesting suggestion came up. Seal the fridge from the freezer and add a second refrigeration unit. Has anyone thought or tried this.

Thank you

Re: Shin Saver

Installed the shin saver on Serendipity. Not only has it saved our shins but today our new dog we rescued tried to jump out into the cockpit and slid over the threshold without injury. :D One of many improvements we will be making using what we learned at the recent rendezvous.
