I had the same problem, but teflon tape worked well for me. You might try Loctite, but be sure you know where your wrench is in case you need it in a hurry!

Jon & Richard- I just ordered the Spinlock. My furling line cleat is on the angled part of the platform that holds the rest of the clutches, so that it sets at a 45 degree angle. Thanks, Tim. I ended up with the Canada Metals from Defender (#204304) which fit fine, though I'm a bit worried that the zinc part is held by one hex key bolt. We'll see if it spins itself off next time I dive to scrape the barnacles.

Does anyone know how to get this type of light fixture open to replace the bulb? I took one off and tried to open it, but for the life of me I couldn't figure it out.

Also, has anyone tried to replace the incandescent bulb with an LED type?
