Re: Generator Installation

As a former owner of a 350 I thought I would add my 2 cents The aft bulkhead on the 350s is paper thin. This is problematic for a couple of reasons but it certainly adds to the ability to contain noise from a Genset. The bulkhead is not solid either next to the hull so noise and fumes from the engin...

Re: Generator sound proofing

Mike Bredeson at Flat Island Boatwork there at the shipyard in PNS installed a reinforcement and soundproofing material Tommy transom on Tiki about two years ago and it made a ton of difference in the aft cabin. I don’t remember what brand it is but you contact him mbredesen@flatislandboatworks.com

Re: Cardel for laying mast on top of boat

What is not shown here is the aft brace over the Davit. It was not installed yet but I think you need three supports so that you don't bounce. And center the mast better

Re: Cardel for laying mast on top of boat

I went 450 miles with a similar rig down the TennTom and across 3 foot rollers across mobile bay with no problem I would suggest a middle support right in front of the dodger

Re: Holding tank

Sometimes there starts to be buildup of waste in the bottom of the tank that pumps cannot suck up. That overtime will displace liquid waste and cause this problem. I would pump out and then put a water hose down in from the deck and just make sure you are stiring up anything that may be building up ...

Re: AB Evaporator VD-151 - Can U Mount Vertically???

I totally missed your questions.. I went with isotherm because of the price, I really wanted independent systems for backup in case one went out and looking at the specs they were much more efficient. I can't speak to their longevity but time will tell. So far so good. I really love the auto defrost...

Re: AB Evaporator VD-151 - Can U Mount Vertically???

if you still have the original spillover system and just replacing the evap the 151 is probably not really big enough even if you have managed to add some insulation to the box. How you mount it does not matter as it will technically work either way as long as air can circulate behind it. I was rece...

Thanks Ken. I have both installed apparently. I have noticed that the valve under the companion way steps is squeaky when the engine is running. Have you heard that on yours ?

Re: LED Cabin Lights

Lowes and home depot carry G4 led that will fit reading lights and head lights for 7.99 each. You might have to snip off a little of the prongs. They work great. I ordered my dome lights online from LED Dr I replaced one of them in red for night cruising which I installed over the nav desk and one i...

Re: 2004 350 Cockpit enclosure

Genco Marine is who finally did mine dodger Bimini w/connecter I got them to sew in the zippers for a full enclosure that I can add later. I am pleased and they did a good job considering they used my measurements. I installed it all myself once it arrived. A completely remote job !
