Re: Fresh Water (Coolant) Impeller?
Nybor, Snead Boat Works just a little north of Cortez has a good reputation, although I have never used them. Brett, I didn't realize that you had moved from Texas to Ft. Myers. Is that a permanent relocation? We were just doen in the Ft. Myers area a month ago. The devastation still remaining at Ft...

Re: Fresh Water (Coolant) Impeller?
Dave, I believe the M35B is a Kubota V1305. I researched the fresh water pump for it a while back and found a part number 16241-73034. I have never replaced it and can not confirm that is the correct part number. The picture certainly looks correct, and is available on Amazon for $50 . If you go dow...

Re: Connecting AIS receiver to Raymarine C80
Since no one responded with any comments or suggestions, I thought I would respond with what I wound up doing. I finally went with a modified Option A approach. I decided not to run a NMEA 2000 cable to the helm at this time as I would have to buy another $300 adapter to convert it over to NMEA 0183...

Connecting AIS receiver to Raymarine C80
I recently purchased a Standard Horizon GX2400 VHF which has an AIS transceiver that I would like to connect to my existing Raymarine C80. The VHF has connections for both NMEA 2000 connector or NMEA 0183 6-wire cable set. All other electronics are NMEA 0183 or SeaTalk. I'm looking for suggestions a...

Weak Transmission from VHF Remote Mic
My Icom Command II remote mic works, but has a very weak transmission. I borrowed a working mic from a friend and it operates the same on my boat. I connected both mics to the back of the below deck VHF eliminating the cable run and both still have weak transmission. The below deck VHF mic hardwired...

Re: Tachometer erratic
Monty, This happens on our boat as well with fully charged batteries. For us, the issue is the solar panel charger. It's top voltage limit is higher than the alternator's top voltage limit. I believe the solar charger charges the batteries up to 14.4 V. The alternator has a limit of 14.2 V. When the...

You might want to check out page 14 of the Owner's Manual. With a few modifications, I used it as a watermark under a placque for the cabin.

Re: Stock Bose Speaker Replacement Options?
I too have the Bose 151 SE Speakers on our 2007 C350. In 2019, the cockpit speakers went bad, and I contacted Bose. They somehow looked up the serial number for my speakers and told me they were still under warranty, even though we purchased the boat in 2011 and had never replaced the speakers. So, ...

Re: Water damaged starboard salon and galley veneer
We were able to cut off a portion of the top of the rudder that was hitting the hull as we tried to turn the rudder through to port. That gave us some steerage and we were able to drive the boat to Elite Marine in St. Pete for repairs in Mid-November. We needed about 1/2 of the rudder travel to port...

Re: Mainsheet Cam Cleat Replaced By Rope Clutch
Our arrangement for the main sheet is similar to those pictured. The original owner apparently installed the rope clutch arrangement. For those worried about releasing the main sheet quickly, we tend to leave the main sheet on the winch most of the time and the rope clutch left open. A quick twist o...

Reverse Polarity
We need a couple of new 30A shore power cables. I was able to pick up a used one at an auction. It appears to be in good condition with no dark 'sparking' areas at either of the connections. When I connected it to shore power, the reverse polarity light came on and nothing worked. I disconnected it ...

Re: Water damaged starboard salon and galley veneer
Sorry to hear about your damage. I replaced the rub rail section on our 350 last year. You are correct, the nuts on the interior are likely for the thru bolts that form the hull/deck joint and they do go thru the rub rail. Ours were on 16" centers. There are additional #10 wood screws through t...

Re: Flush water swirls but wont leave the bowl
Another possible cause might be the tank vent. If the tank vent is clogged, the pump could run and create a swirl in the bowl, but the back pressure would not allow discharge into the tank. You may want to try removing the pump out cap and see if the pump then empties the bowl. You should be careful...

Re: Engine Guages and Tach for M35B
I'm not near the boat now. But, if you are talking about the 20 amp breaker shown on the schematic, ours is located in the engine compartment. My recollection is that it is somewhere near the fuel lift pump. It is breaker with a red button that is labeled "20".

Re: Stern pulpit replacement
Wally, Depending on how severe the damage is, you may want to see if it can be repaired. A few years ago, our slip neighbor hung his anchor on our stern pulpit as he was leaving and bent the forward section of the pulpit. A welder was able to cut out the bent section and weld in a new piece and even...

Re: 2005 C350 GPS Antenna Replacement
Agreed. Most likely a TV Antenna. It looks like the one we have on our boat (2007). Ours no longer works or there is a bad connection somewhere. We purchased an antenna from WalMart that we just lay on the cabin top near the traveler and get acceptable reception in most areas.

Re: Genoa Halyard
Thanks Mark,
How did you attach the paracord to the halyard? Stitch it? Tape it? Tie it? I am assuming there are some small openings along the way.
Thanks

Genoa Halyard
Has anyone replaced their Genoa Halyard? The Owner's Manual calls for two 1/2" dia. ULS x 120 feet. I'm not at the boat, but I thought the main and genoa halyards appear to be smaller than the sheets which are also 1/2" dia. Also why does the manual call for two Genoa halyards? I assume th...

2 years later. The same extension is still in place and it has greatly reduced the grey residue on the hull.
