Re: Hot water temp

Hi Steve,
We keep our 350 just a few miles north of you in Menominee. Feel free to call me and I’ll walk you through the water heater bypass.

Re: Flush water swirls but wont leave the bowl

We had the same problem, (#359). Tried all the things you did and problem continued. Turns out the discharge pipe from the macerator to the top of the waste tank was clogged with mineral deposits. Almost like a white sand. I replaced the line and we’re trouble free. A recommendation from a sailing f...

Re: Winter Canvas vs. Shrink wrap

We’ve used the same winter cover for 15 years on Dock Holiday (hull #359). DCA brings the cost down to about $125/yr and it still has another 5+ years of life yet.
We store mast up and prefer it. My son goes up the mast each year to inspect.

Re: Interior Table

Thanks so much. It really changed the look inside. It was about $200 of black walnut and 6 attempts of epoxy before I was satisfied.
The bench came with the boat when I bought it new. It’s 14x24.

Re: Interior Table

The top is 23”x40”. I used 3/4” stock. With the epoxy, it’s 7/8” thick. I used 5 biscuits per joint to ensure strength.

Re: Interior Table

We found the big table too big and the small table too small so for a winter project in the frozen north I made a new table out of black walnut and sealed it in epoxy. I was able to find a lighter and darker supply so there is a slight look of teak and holly. The admiral loves it! More room in the c...

Re: 6 Golf Cart Batteries

Dock Holiday sits 280 miles north of Chicago in beautiful Green Bay. It’s COLD up here in the winter. Each fall I fully charge the batteries and shut all systems off. Every spring we show up with almost full Battery power. Super easy.

Gauge panel

Dock Holiday (#359) is 12 years old and still looks great......except for her gauge panel. After years of sun and spilled beverages the panel was the weak link on board. My brother offered to make a new panel out of stainless steel which was then powder coated as you can see. I was a little nervous ...

The ice is finally off Lake Michigan so we launched Dock Hoilday (#359) yesterday and tried out the new PYI high defection damper plate I installed last week. WOW, what a difference. I can hardly hear the transmission while idling in gear. Thanks to all for the postings and opinions on how to tackle...

Re: SWIM LADDER MODIFICATION:

Here is a photo of the new swim platform I built for Dock Holiday. As mentioned in an earlier posting, I was concerned about geting back onboard if I was alone and the original ladder was lock up. I can now get onboard single handed by flipping the lid up to swing the ladder down. I chose a maintain...
